Why You Should Attend This Symposium:

CBRN threats remain significant and are expanding at an accelerated pace due to the increasing complexity of the global security environment. The threat of an accidental or intentional chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear attack on the U.S. is becoming a growing threat. The 2023 event will convene senior-level speakers from across the government, military, and academia for a discussion on the technologies and solutions necessary for ensuring the nation is prepared to mitigate and respond to any CBRN incident. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the continued development of capabilities to increase the resiliency of our Warfighters and support efforts to understand, protect, and mitigate CBRN incidents and hazards.

This year’s Symposium will explore efforts to strengthen CBRN defense through robust whole of government collaboration, policies, procedures, and training essential for safeguarding the Warfighter and U.S. citizens, countering CBRN hazards both domestic and abroad, and much more. The 2023 Symposium will also feature a panel that will highlight how major U.S. cities are bolstering CBRN defense, preparedness, and response. Specifically, panelists will speak on innovative equipment, training, and information they need to protect their communities amid CBRN threats and challenges. Attendees at the 11th Annual Joint Civil and DoD CBRN Symposium will have the unique opportunity to hear from key decision makers in the CBRN community regarding current and future efforts to defend the U.S. from current and emerging CBRN threats.

DSI’s team specializes in the extensive research and development of our Symposium’s content and focus areas, and we will assemble the most respected minds in the CBRN defense community, industry, and academia as well as key policy makers across military and civilian offices for a critical discussion on challenges of countering CBRN threats. DSI’s Symposium directly supports DoD, Federal Government, and State & Local Government CBRN priorities by providing a conduit for officials to efficiently reach audiences outside of their respective offices that directly impact their department’s mission success, at no charge to the government, and in an efficient expenditure of time.

DSI’s Symposium will provide a forum to address and improve internal and external initiatives, meet with and hear from partner organizations, disseminate vital capability requirements to industry, increase visibility within the larger community, and generally support their mission.

The Symposium is open and complimentary to all DoD, IC, and Federal employees and is considered an educational training forum, and a widely attended gathering.
